I'm sure that most LSU fans were rooting for SC to pull the upset against UT, but that is really screwing us over right now. Miss. State dropping their game against Kentucky also hurt us. Figured that UF beating UGA would help off set that, but I guess not.
If we don't make it, we don't make it. But don't rip into those who like to follow the process and hold on to some hope that things could fall into place. And to answer your question, I care.
Unless we have a weekend like the one in November 03, I don't see how we have a prayer. It's virtually impossible for USC, UCLA, Va. Tech and Miami to all suffer a loss between now and the bowls. And Texas? Fuhgeddabout it. They're in the Rose Bowl. I see the Sugar Bowl as our highest attainable goal.
Realistically, I do not see either of the top three teams losing a game. Am I going to proclaim them undefeated on the last day of October though? No!
I'm pretty sure you're right. The other interesting thing will be to see if Virginia Tech can get close enough to Texas in the human polls to jump them when their computer SOS passes Texas'. No matter who wins the MNC, It would be great to watch Texas fans go crazy if they got passed up in the final BCS Standings by Virginia Tech without either losing a game! :rofl:
