Anyone have a sweet recipe for the mix? Got a waffle iron for Christmas and I'd like a recipe from you guys before just finding a random one on the internets.

Honestly? I eventually started using this. You can get it pretty much anywhere. And if you play with the amount of water you use, you can get the consistency you like (thicker = denser waffles). My girls like white and semi-sweet choc chips in the mix. Cop out? Maybe - but time is happiness with three daughters under 10.

People rave about the pancakes and waffles at my restaurant and the secret recipe is :

equal measures of crusteaz pancake mix and crusteaz white cake mix. All I do is mix the powders together and store them in a covered container. When I make the pancake mix, I just add water till the batter is the right consistency. I don't add vanilla, egg, oil, butter sugar...nothing. I use the same batter for pancakes and waffles.

You can also make it thick, add banannas or any other fruit; drop it off the spoon into hot fry oil and you have fritters.

Any brand of mix will do... even GreatValue from the mart I use crusteaz because my food vendor handles that brand.

Abita Springs. The Abita Springs Cafe (on the other side of the traffic circle from the Abita Brew Pub. closer to town hall)

They have beer, I'm open for breakfast and lunch, I drink beer ... there.
