Of course the ultimate album cover is the Beatles' White Album. If you have never seen the artwork on it, you owe it to yourself to go to a record store immediately to go and see it. After that its SGT PEPPER, RUBBER SOUL & REVOLVER:
This is the most controversial Beatles album cover. Its for their Yesterday and Today album and for obvious reasons became known as "The Butcher" album cover. It was pulled very quickly after its release b/c of the reaction it received.
The Butcher album cover was quickly replaced with this one which most people associate with the Yesterday and Today album.
