rebel flag? i see a union jack. most iron maiden stuff is awesome. the second best covers are old rush albums. of course its really that rush is the greatest band of all time that makes the cover art seem good.
i had a friend who had that exact flag I suppose he won at the jambalaya festival or whatever and was a big maiden fan. he hung it in his room along with all their other art. scared the hell out of me everytime i went in there but yeah the art is really good. im more of a rush fan. oh hell, I guess the Union Flag is still acceptable.
The White Album was probably the most talked about release in history due to it's simplicity and the posters that came with it originally. The first album released under Apple Records. If they were still with Capital they would not have been able to release the "White Album". The Original artwork for the White Album:
Funny you should post that, Martin. I'm a huge Maiden fan too and I agree that their art work is second to none. While not exactly an album cover, it's hard to argue with The Trooper. I was actually going to post this one as my favorite piece of Maiden art work.
