For me the best burger has to be at Port of Call. It wins hands down.

Bluebird Cafe also has a good burger. Any other local favorites?

Tuckers Tavern, they have deep fried hamburgers.

I rarely eat a burger when I'm in NO so I can't say who has the best. Too many other choices of great food but I have eaten a late night burger at Camelia Grill a couple of times and they are very good.

Good call. Haven't had that in awhile.

No, they take two patties and cook them almost all the way, then the stuff it with may different things (cheese, jalepeno, bacon etc). Then they put the two patties together and batter them and deep fry it. This palce is under I-10 near the medical center.
