1. I'm well aware and respectful of Louisiana's culinary reputation. What, prey tell, do they put in hot sauce if it isn't chillis? What is the base? Tomato? Squash?
  2. Love Sriracha for many things especially Asian genres of food and it is used by great chefs worldwide. It has its place for sure. However, it isn't what I would call hot or spicy but still delicious IMO. Taste awful in Gumbo, jambalya, etc... as Tirk mentioned. My wife is the mild type and Sriracha is a good option for her that she can handle.

    I also found this habenero sauce called Marie Sharps and it is really good as well.

    I will throw siracha on my eggs once in a while for a change, maybe on a burger or some wings.
  6. Habernos are a different variety....are they related to habaneros? California is a major supplier of habaneros. I'm not a fan but I prefer them to cayenne or tobasco.
    Had lunch with my sister today....nice spinach and bacon salad with a sriracha strawberry vinaigrette. Worked for me.

  10. G baby, sauce is on the way. I bought a roll of bubble wrap and used the entire thing to be sure it doesn't break. Be careful when you open the box cause it is inside the wrap. I taped the ends but if a female opens the box they could think it's empty and toss it.
