First of all, our "Death Valley" (the ONE and ONLY, sorry Clemson) is the best. But what other nicknames for stadiums and arenas do you like in college sports. We have others. Pete Maravish Assembly Center is "PMAC" or "Deaf Dome." Alex Box Stadium is "The Box." What others can ya'll think of? What's your 2nd favorite?

Here's some I can think of, from schools large and small.

Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Florida - "The Swamp" (FYI, Cajun Field at UL-Lafayette is also "The Swamp" and they claim it was called that before Florida's field was)
Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn - "The Jungle"
Michigan Stadium, Michigan - "The Big House"
Ohio Stadium, Ohio State - "The Horseshoe" (even though it's not a horseshoe anymore)
Cowboy Stadium, McNeese State- "The Hole"
Assembly Center, New Mexico - "The Pit"
Don Haskins Center, UTEP - "The Don"
Humphreys Coliseum, Mississippi State - "The Hump"
    M. M. Roberts Stadium, Southern Miss - "The Rock"
Dean Smith Center, North Carolina - "Dean Dome"

Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks is called "The BOB."

Yankee Stadium - "The House the Ruth Built."

Wrigley Field - "The Friendly Confines."

    Lambeau Field "The Frozen Tundra."

Oakland's Alameda County Stadium (Before it was renamed Network Associates Stadium) was called "The Black Hole."

Of course Auburn's stadium should be renamed "Baskin Robbins Field, Home of the 31 Nicknames."

And rename Moo U's stadium to "The Stockyard."

The SC Gamecock's Stadium would be "The Chicken Coop."

Arkansas - "The Pigpen." or "The Cellblock."

Alabama - "The House of Destiny." :D

"Deaf Valley" for Tiger Stadium has been in use for 40 years. I like it better than "Death Valley". There are several stadiums that call themselves death valley. But only one Deaf Valley--and it fits.

I, where you been hiding? Deaf Valley and Deaf Dome have been used for years. I remember when they used to hang the noise meter from the ceiling in the PMAC. We used to yell as loud as we could to try and top out the meter. Those were the days....

"The Ball Park in Arlington" - Texas Rangers.

I remember when they built that place, they had a contest, all this hype people had Ryan Stadium etc etc.

Then the big drum roll... - The Ball Park in Arlington. I know thats not a nickname, but had to get that off my chest.

Isn't there a basketball stadium called the Pit ????

What About Auburn and "The Jungle" ??? No ??? ;)

My favorite (Besides ours of course)

    has to be

Piston Petes Palace (Wait thats ours as well)

    Outside of LSU.....
    The Frozen Tundra - NFL
The Swamp - College - I know its UF but it is still pretty cool.
