1. Just drive west about 2 hours and get to Acadiana. You will find lots of good boudin there.
  2. 4 hour round trip. If I happen to be around, I load up in Scott.

  4. Which do you like better. I stopped there awhile back. Trying to remember but the last place it was mushy and disappointing. It was Best Stop I recall.
  5. I like Best Stop more than the others. It has more meat than rice in it and spiced well. Their cracklins are better too. And their burger patties are the bomb. LOL

  8. Meaux ... You finally converted huh

The man said NEW ORLEANS ...

    Latest RAMAH BOUDIN report:

Chris’ Specialty Meats in New Orleans on Harrison Ave & Pontchartrain Blvd (1 mile from Lake Pontchartrain) is an A rated boudin with exceptional flavor and finest consistency and better than anything east of the MS River ... Includes Jerry Lee’s

Challenge: Stop by Chris’ before you make a run west and buy a couple of links and compare it to what you find in Acadiana

I highly recommend Chris’ boudin stuffed chickens and have tried the sausage but NuNu’s (Youngsville, not Scott) is ALWAYS BEST FOR LARGE ICE CHEST STOCK UP TO BUY
    1. Fresh & Smoked Sausage (15 types)
    2. Andouille & Tasso
    3. Great consistent high Q boudin

Fact: Jacobs Sausage (LaPlace) is just garbage although the Andouille is passable

    NEW ORLEANS SUFFERERS:
Tip: Spend $200 or more and bring a huge ice chest to NuNu’s in Youngsville and load up once or twice a year ... late summer Best to be ready for fall cookouts & gumbos

I also stop at Benoit’s Butcher Block in Addis for the best stuffed pork chops

Billy’s (Scott) is still the best boudin but not the best overall ... NuNu’s is King and God Bless Mr Broussard (family friend) who opened the three NuNu’s and still gets around at age 90+
  9. I'm glad to know about Chris's specialty meats.
  10. ...wait, that didn't sound right. Lol
