1. Has anyone come across a list of the bowl payouts for this year yet? If so, please share.

  2. You didn't ask, but most don't know this. The 2nd team from a conference in a BCS bowl does not earn the conference the published payout; it's limited to something like 4.5 Mil. The balance goes into a pot that is distributed to all the BCS conferences.
  3. Interesting...That site has the Sugar paying 14-17 million but the Sugar Bowl site says the payout has been 30+ million the last three years. I'd find it strange that they would cut the pay-off in half.
  4. That published report is per team. I don't know if the Bowl site means total or per team, but I would guess total.
  5. du...that would be 14-17 million per team adding up to 28-34 million. i'm a little slow
  6. Well that's just BS.
  7. Doesn't Notre Dame's BCS agreement only allow them to collect $4.5 million too? I think I read somewhere in return they get a guaranteed $1.5 million even if they don't make it to a BCS game.
  8. What I don't get is why do all the rules promote Notre Dame being an independent when they should be tailored towards coaxing them into becoming a member of a conference?
  9. I agree, the BCS should stipulate that teams must belong to a conference and it's over. There are some 8 and 9 team conf. anyway.
