1. http://www.sportsfansofamerica.com/Links/Football/College/Bowls/20051.htm

So far, this is the only link I could find for this year's TV ratings.

    PSU/FlaSt 13.7
    USC/Texas 12.4
    Geo/WV 9.5
    OSU/ND 7.4
    Wisc/Aub 5.5
    LSU/Miami 5.0
    Tulsa/Fres 4.6
    Mich/Neb 4.2
    Ok/Ore 4.0
    VT/Louis 4.0
    Fl/Iowa 3.6
    Bama/TT 2.6

If these #'s are right, the Orange Bowl outdrawing the Rose is a shocker.

    Anyone have other numbers???
  2. I know that the Rose Bowl was the highest rated BCS game ever and the highest rated NC game since I think 1987. So yeah, I don't think PSU/FSU had more people watching.
  3. Yeah, I don't believe that either. That was probably one of the lowest I would think.
  4. Yep, the link I found has to be wrong.. perhaps their ratings are from last year... very sorry.

    From Zap2it.com:

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006
ABC's coverage of college football's national championship game dominated the ratings Wednesday, drawing close to 34 million viewers -- more than the other five networks combined.

For the night, ABC averaged a 20.6 rating/31 share (ratings reflect time period only due to the live nature of the game). CBS finished second at 6.8/10, and NBC took third with a 6.3/9. FOX, 3.4/5, came in fourth. The WB was fifth among households at 1.4/2, although UPN (1.3/2) had slightly more total viewers.
  5. That looks like last year's results. Found those exact numbers on bcsfootball.org for the 04-05 bowl season. They have not updated the numbers for this year on their site ... TV Ratings

EDIT: click on Bowl & Operations tab on their website to see previous years.
  6. Although I must say, I enjoyed the hell out of the PSU/FSU game as well and I didn't really expect too.
  7. Me too. Having seen both play, I didn't think it would be close. But, FSU had other things in mind. Well, everyone but their kicker I guess.:hihi:
  8. New Orleans Bowl at Lafayette: 3...people.:hihi:
  9. That really seems to be full of ****.

The FSU/PSU game was a great ending but it wasnt that good of an overall game.
  10. An article in this mornings USA Today has the rating numbers:
