    I agree it was dumb......

Hell right-necks have boycotted Elvis, the Beatles, the teletubbys, rap music....

And it basically ended those careers.....

    True...

But "right-necks" didn't make up 80% to 90% of Elvis, Teletubbies or rap music's fans.

Ya know ashgeaux, I have more respect for the Chicks than I do for Hollywood liberals. Taking a position that's unpopular with your fan base requires a lot more courage than being a liberal if you're a grunge musician.

    Re: Apology from Natalie Maines

The bitch won't be so smug when the concert halls are half empty and promoters are bailing out. She's got freedom of speech and we've got freedom to tell her to take her music elsewhere.

Get a new line Piggles. The sheep analogy has run it's course. I'd bet 100 bucks you look just like Newman on Seinfeld.

Bestbank Tiger, I doubt Natalie(?) realized what she was doing. I don't think she thought about repercussions when she said that.

I don't gain or lose respect for any Hollywood liberal or Country liberal based on their political views. I just wished they would chain themselves to trees and talk about "human shields" off my tv screen. They don't anger me, they annoy me.

I get your point, but I think it was stupidity and not thinking before you speak. Not some well thought out protest against the war.

I'm pretty confident in saying their careers are over in the U.S. Just as they have a right to speak against President Bush, consumers have the right to stop buying their albums and radio programers can refuse to play their music.
