1. No BOOOOFET. Watcha got
  2. Not much. Hunan's menu is decent. Used to be a place called Bamboo Garden on Essen Lane, but it closed years ago. The owners of Bamboo Garden recommended Mongolian BBQ on Florida, but thats not on my side of town.

Hammond has a Trey Yuen, and NOLA has Five Happiness, and if you make it to the Westbank (NOLA), China Doll is where its at.
  3. Chinese Inn on Airline used to be the best but I haven't been there in years.
  4. I BR, I like Waka House on Sherwood behind CVS. Small place, very intimate and great sushi...
  5. Bamboo Garden was WAY better than Mongolian BBQ. There used to be a place on Sherwood Forest near I 12 that I really liked. Can't remember the name but I don't think its still in business
  6. I have been waiting to try it, I have heard great things.

    But it is Japanese, right?
  7. im more interested in why does the thread title have the bama flag flying in it?
  8. Yeah, I was trying to stick with "asian".

    I don't think I have ever seen a non-buffet Chinese restaurant...
  9. What is the new Chinese place on Chimes street?

    Is it a Buffet?
  10. Best Chinese sit-down restaurant -- was the Chinese Inn on Airline, but they have slipped a lot recently. There is not a first-rate Kung-Pao Chicken in town.

Best Chinese Buffet -- is still The Great Wall on College. Many choices and high volume so that the food is always fresh. It desn't sit on the buffet very long at the Great Wall.

Best storefront Chinese take out place -- China One on Government by a mile. Most of the Chinese take out places skimp on the quality of ingredients and also the portion size. Not at China One. They use good stuff, they cook it right, and give you a lot for the money.
