1. Flipping through this month's Maxim and came across the March Madness write-up.

Best I can tell, we should be pulling realistically for a #6 seeding. Historically, six seeds do pretty well. Sure, I'd love to get a higher seed, but trying to be realistic here in shooting for the six.
  2. I just hope LSU ends up in the Austin region, just in case they make it to the Sweet 16.

Perhaps we LSU fans can serenade the locals with a few "Perr-i-lloux, L-S-U" chants during timeouts...LOL.
  3. I'm nout sure b/c I just clicked on it and it has us as a 5 playing Miami.

  4. I love LSU as much as anybody, but to think just b/c we are LSU, we should expect a number 1 or 2 seed is unreasonable. We haven't been to the Final Eight in 18 years. That statement would be equivalent to an Auburn fan or Tennessee fan saying they should go to Omaha every year. Why? You have to raise the bar before you set the bar. We have 2 excellent players and no guards. We're not there yet in recruiting. Brady has to recruit a top notch point guard to fulfill your expectations. Tack's not it. He's not a 4-star player like the gurus said. He's a 3-star at best. Our 3 guards could not start for any quality team in America. Be realistic, and you'll enjoy this run they're making a lot more.
  5. I think Mr. Mitchell could start for many of these "quality teams". Hes just a tad bit short
  6. thats like saying "my uncle could be my aunt, but he has balls"
  7. One seed we do not want is a 5 seed. Everyone knows every year that at least 1 normally 2 12 seeds beat a 5. Just ask Florida. We do not need this going against us in the tourney. It really can get into to players heads.
  8. CharlesA, I think you missed the most important part

    of 99's post.

Ok, I am done with my moment of sillyness.
  9. A former golfing partner of mine once said: "I can reach 15 with a 9 iron but it's always short." :hihi:
  10. Did he go by the name of Tin Cup?
