i think i saw him play against Arkansas some, but i can't remember. Why the demotion? Karnell Hatcher has been back there alot, and i can't say that he has been much of an upgrade. I can't remember seeing him at all against Ole Miss.

Our safety play (SS and FS) has been pretty etrocious all year long. I thought Taylor started off strong but when SEC play came around he was outmatched.

Is that even worse that atrocious?

I haven't been impressed at all with Taylor's play this season. He's often been out of position and has gotten beaten a number of times in man to man. But I see potential.

I think he 's one of the best tacklers back there, if I'm remembering correctly.

I dont find Taylor has played that bad. Sure he has gotten beaten in coverage sometimes but a lot of that is because our DL cant pressure anyone. Plus we dont blitz much to compensate for our sorry pass rush. You cant expect a DB to cover for more than a few secs. He is one of the teams better tacklers. Overall his play has been better than Jones at S.

He hasn't been lights out, but he isn't as horrible as Danny McCray who has been getting burnt and out of place for years now, and Karnell Hatcher who hasn't impressed me either.

McCray is the reason Arkansas scored that last touchdown, he left his man because the QB stepped up in the pocket.

exactly, and how many times can you remember over the last 4 years saying, "damn that was a great play by danny mccray" or "great coverage by danny mccray" and finally how many times do you remember saying "crap danny mccray" or "damn 44 wtf".

Give me back Brandon Taylor all day every day.
