We made bunches of road trips to LSU in college and went to almost all of the football games as it was easy to get in back then. I think most of the USL graduates did not harbor any ill will towards LSU back then and there were many Tiger boosters in the area. I wonder sometimes if this more of an uppercrust thing more so than the regular folk.

I cannot understand why some folks in the Lafayette area can't be fans of both USL and LSU.

For the same reason you can't be a Tulane and LSU fan at the same time. It just doesn't work.

It should be easy. Like being a fan of your high school team and being a fan of the big time college team at the same time. I know quite a few people who went to USL and never went to one of their games but who are bigtime Tiger fans.
