  2. They can take some of the slot money from other draftees and add it to the offer for a player while offering other players less than their slot value. Surprising how it went down because Cairo's dad is a former major leaguer and you would think his family doesn't have to have the money.

  4. I don't think so. I think if a pick doesn't sign the team loses the ability to spend that money but if a pick signs for less than his slot value the team can add it to their offer for another player.

  9. If he is a senior he wouldn't have another choice. Or a latin player who will take anything for a shot at the bigs. Could be high school players too dumb to go to college.
