  4. sounds to me like calipari knew he was likely gone and covering his own ass to keep recruits with him, not with any school.:dis:

rumors that he was behind the payoffs at umass in the mid-90's but boosters were the escape goats. how long before payoffs surface at memphis or uk under his tenure?
  5. Memphis has been a good basketball school for a while and will continue to do well. Obviously there will be a dropoff but if they get Mike Anderson they will still do well in CUSA. They have the city behind them - but this will be an important hire.

edit: Anderson signs an extension with Mizzou. Big blow for Georgia.
  6. From the Lexington Herald: It's official: Kentucky hires Calipari

  7. Memphis promotes assistant Pastner to coach, replacing Calipari

  8. Cousins will follow Cal to UK according to his HS coach.
  9. Between this move and the money by UK, LSU's Johnson, UF's Donovan, and the money being thrown out there for some of the other SEC basketball programs, the SEC is going for domination in basketball as well as football.
