1. You're participating in a thread about the "dunk". :hihi:
  2. Now that I really look at it, there is no way that can be considered a dunk, much less "throwing it down" as I heard one say. It can't be a true dunk if her hand is grabbing the rim while the ball is still above her hand. Looks to me like she released the ball near the rim and proceeded to grab the rim on the way down.

Just call me Sherlock Holmes of dunks.:hihi:
  3. Where's Furcal? You can't bow out now, we're just getting started.:hihi:
  4. "any more"? you used to be able to dunk? i am impressed anytime somebody under 6 feet can dunk. i am 5 9 and i can barely touch the rim on a good day. and i can really jump (by white standards). you used to be able to dunk?
  5. You read it right.

I was never able to shoot well though lol.
  6. I guess I just don't hold her to the same standards as everyone else. BTW, those Spud pics are from a dunk contest. It's a lot easier to dunk when you're just going up by yourself not having to worry about defenders or anything. Candace's dunk competition dunks were much better than those two. The only time I saw Spud dunk in a game looked exactly like Candace's 2 in that game.

I'm 5'11" and white and I used to be able to almost grab the rim before I tore up my ankle, but I can barely get half-way up the net now.

I think this is the dunk you refer to. You can see the ref in the background. This dunk is much higher than Candace's layup.

What makes Webb's dunks so impressive is that he's listed at 5'7". Candace, though a girl, is still 6'3" (with very long arms).
  8. Whether a dunk or finger-roll, it was a high-percentage shot and it wasn' tgoing to be blocked.

But you couldn't call it a slam dunk!
  9. I agree!
  10. I'm 6-1 and can't touch the net. I used to be able to touch the rim but never came close to dunking.
