Matt Cassel to the Chiefs per NFL Network..Good or Bad Deal?...Im not sold on Matt Cassel not saying he cant be good but I mean look who he played with last year what would you expect
Remember that Scott Pioli is now running the Chiefs. I guess he thinks Vrabel still has something left in the tank and that Cassel is the real deal. Should be interesting. I thought Thigpen played pretty well last year.
Looks like the owner of the Pats doing his old buddy Pioli a favor in trying to revive that struggling franchise. That's my take. I figured Cassel would be worth a first rounder all by himself.
Thinking about it, Vrabel is 34 in the twilight of his career and Cassel is a one hit wonder with a hell of a salary. In Bill we trust.
If no teams were willing to give up a first rounder, getting an early second is as good as it was going to get. The Pats also had to trade him for cap purposes. Vrabel is locker room window dressing for the Chiefs -- and they can use some of that right now.
Jay Cutler was rumored to be part of 3 way deals for Cassel. Now the poor baby is whining that the Broncos don't love him. :rolleye33:
