If that article is true then I can't imagine he will be going pro. Who's gonna call now and come up with an agreeable offer if no one did yesterday.

That happened with all the LSU prospects and it is pretty commonplace in the MLB draft. We are not out of the water yet. He will get some nice offers today held for those high risk prospects.

    My thoughts exactly.

He could get higher offers today. Teams save up their bonus money for high risk prospects and they usually try to get a feel for what they are looking for in the 1st few rounds. Keep your fingers crossed. I am hoping he is insulted by his draft position even if they offer him a figure closer to what he wants.

Dandy Don is under the impression that if Jones does not go by the end of the 8th round, he will go to LSU. We'll see.

Chad Jones selected in the 13th round at 411 overall by houston.

id say we have a better than 50/50 shot at least. much better than i thought and fell lower than jared went last year i believe. i think jm was taken in the 10th.

Definately. Don't see him getting the money he wants going that late in the round.

Houston might have the money he wants but I agree it is better than 50% chance he comes to LSU.

BTW, LSU recruit out of NJ RHP Anthony Ranaudo was taken in the 11th by the Texas.
