Didn't see the game but he had two tackles. Glad to see that he is playing.

    From ESPN.com

The Atlanta defensive staff is thrilled by the progress made by fifth-round defensive tackle Chad Lavalais. The former LSU standout has contributed nicely, especially against the run, and he is logging considerable playing time on first and second downs. That allows the Falcons to rest tackles Rod Coleman (four sacks) and Ed Jasper, who the coaches definitely want on the field on third down.

I saw one play where he just moved the entire Chargers line. He didn't get the tackle but definatly freed up someone else. LT didn't move the ball on that play.

I also saw a Gay in the Pats defensive backfield in the waning seconds of that game. I assume this is Randall. The Pats stopped the Seahawks on the one in the closing seconds of the game.

Gay played all throughout the game. Chad looked good and was always getting a good push.

Too bad he plays on a team that gave up on its coach last year for a guy who looks the best talent the league has seen at year's at its premier position and says, "Well, let's put a leash on him, why don't we?"

Jim Mora's a dolt, and I don't care if that offense scored late, Vick looks like JaMarcus Russell back there at times running it...Say what you want about Dan Reeves, but he sure as sh!t knew he was going to win and lose games with Vick running wild and ad libbing...

Look at their TOP this year...The year they beat the Pack in GB in the playoffs, they dominated TOP and converted all game long and just killed defenses converting 3rd down after third down...Now, they are hanging their hat on that revamped defense and a rushing attack that's 1st in the league...

Neither the D nor the run will hold up (Especially with Dunn handling the load), and Vick's collar will weigh the entire team down...Blank needs to realize he's got 10 good years out of the kid, and he's already into year 4, with the rookie season spent on the sideline, the 3rd year spent injured, and the 4th year looking like a sophomore in college...

GASP... I agree with TE. Atlanta plays its best ball when Vick is allowed to improvise. He has progressed nicely and will not make a bad decision. I hate to say that. I hate to see the FalCons win.

Well, for having a dolt coaching them, the Falcons are off to a pretty solid start. 5-1 is 5-1 no matter how you slice it. Their defense is one of the top units in the league and Vick doesn't have to be spectacular for them to win.

Big Chad looked solid today and I can't wait to see how much he progresses during the season. Geaux Chad! You're a true Tiger!

Reeves? I live in Atlanta and follow the Falcons pretty close, you can't help it with all the articles. Reeves needed to be fired, he was not getting the job done, period. He drafted poorly, had a very unimaginative offense with 2 TE sets half the time, had Wade Phillips as a DC and he was bad also. The strength of the Falcons was their D-line and they run a 3-4 and got run over as their LB's just weren't all that good. Reeves last longer than he should have because of the one Super Bowl season.

Mora has the Falcons at 5-1 and the offense will get better and better as Vick learns the system, w/o Vick having to run the ball all the time and he will probably make it throught the entire season because of that. If Reeves was still in Atlanta Lavalais would have been cut in preseason as the Falcons only kept 5 D-lineman.
