"I know Chris had a good summer," Rayville coach Bo Barton said. "He's been meeting all his runs. He's doing 7-on-7s and caught some touchdown passes. He's looking forward to getting into the rotation of the good receivers they've got down there. He's trying to learn from the guys that are already there."
Coaches also have players participating in the 110-yard dash players are required to do after workouts.
"They have to run so many 110-yard dashes in a certain amount of time," Barton said. "Such as, if you're a running back, you have to run it in 15 seconds. If you're a linebacker, you have to run it in 17 seconds — a lineman, 19 seconds and so on."

coach barton was my high school coach in in 2000 ... he is from bastrop then moved to rayville for the head coach spot ... awesome guy
