I withheld my opinion on this question earlier, but now that it appears that Nick is gone, I will say that I find a Christmas Day announcement that he is leaving LSU to be in BAD FORM. Granted, none of us wanted to see him go, so you could ask, "if not now, then when" should he make the announcement? I understand that argument, but I am just feeling that he could have done it on a different day. Bah, I guess it doesn't matter. It's over. Time to move on. Next...

Christmas Day holds no specific significance as far as being an LSU fan goes. I don't think the day matters. I just hope Bertman makes a good choice.

This shows a tremendous lack of respect for the fans. He has turned this into circus, with LSU the loser hoping to pick up the pieces. What an insult to all those within the Tiger community who tried so diligently over the past several days to keep him here.

This is NOT a class act!

Some of you need to realize the world does not revolve around LSU. This was a career decision made at the best time for NS. He will never get a better offer than he recieved from Miami and no I dont just mean the money

You have to admit his yearly flirts with the NFL followed by his "I'm not interested in the NFL" was less than honest. He was probably our greatest coach ever and really knows how to build a program, but he was definitely not our most honest coach ever. Thanks for the wonderful years, but I'm happy we don't have to listen to the end of the year lies any longer. PS I vote you change your handle to Bradyfan

It doesn't matter what he would've done or said short of saying he would stay.....certain people were going to bash him as being a classless liar just for going to the Dolphins.

My thoughts concern not whether he leaves, but when he has chosen to tell LSU.

I disagree, I have no problem with him going to the Dolphins just not being honest about.

I respect how you feel but I never felt he was being dishonest. Not like some coaches that insist they aren't going anywhere only to bolt for another program within 24 hours. We always knew Nick wanted to coach in the NFL and all sign indicated that he would take the Dolphins job. Only a few overly optimistic posters with alleged "inside" info kept up the pretense that he might stay. I always had a bad feeling he would take the Dolphins job.
