Some know, one of my best friends lost his career at West Point due to this type of block. I am hardly sympathetic to those who employ chops. I defend Chaz's block on Dorsey because I truly believe it was Lee's error that caused the illegal block to happen. I haven't reviewed this one yet, but it looks like a guy taking a shortcut. That is either just lazy or intentional. In either case, he needs his butt on the bench. I love brutal football. If you respect your opponent and yourself, however, your keep it clean.

I'd like to see the NCAA put a rule in place where chop blocks are punished with a 15-yard penalty AND automatic ejection. You pull a stunt like that where you intentionally attempt to hurt an opponent in a manner that could very well end his career, and you should be kicked out of the game. Period.
