Since you mentioned Saban, Les Miles' contract is worth $1.25 million annually- Saban’s original LSU contract in 1999 paid him $1.2 million annually as well.
At that time, Saban's contract was the “Richest contract” for a college football coach. Just like cingular, he raised the bar.

He does have a good business mind.
Miles also receives $300,000 a year from the Tiger Athletic Foundation with an additional $50,000 coming from shoe and equipment contracts. His deal also includes an additional $600,000 for radio, television and internet work, and $200,000 per year in deferred compensation- which I have no idea what that is?? Maybe red can splain that one.
He will also earn $75,000 if the Tigers play in the Southeastern Conference championship game, and $175,000 if they play in the BCS national title game, but the contract limits additional compensation in any given year to $400,000.
