I just can't see how Okie is in the top 10 when you have no QB.

Not only that, they got thse second highest amount of first place votes with 13.

 

I don't like Ohio St at number 1, O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D *clap clap, clap clap clap*, they will not win the Big 10 out right. I don't like Texas at 2 - although they are probably right around top 5 - 10th material. I don't like Notre Dame or USC tied at 3. USC drops 2 this year, ND drops 2-3 (although that might not be enough to take them out of the top 5). I really think Oklahoma at 5 is just to make people laugh. I don't care how good their defense is, they are not going 11-1 with NO quarterback.

So basically, the most popular top 5 picks for this year - I don't like any of them to actually finish in the top 5.

 

It's not often you can look at a pre-season top 10 and say that any team in the top 15 could easily finish in the top 2!

 

As the article says, those OU votes were probably received before the OU QB got the boot.

Of course they will, who will challenge them?

In all fairness, had LSU won the NC last season, we would all expect nothing less than the one or two spot.

I've never been a big fan of the coaches poll, and this new one seems crazy. Things seem wide open, but by the end the traditional powers will be the majority of the top 10. Where is Virginia Tech? Ohio St and Texas will be around top 5 teams, I expect.
