Usually, the team winning the coin toss defers til the second half and kicks to start the game. However, if LSU wins the coin toss, should they elect to receive the opening kickoff, figuring that this is one less chance for the Alabama offense to have the ball without White on the field?

I’m usually FOR getting the ball back after halftime. But I think it would be great if we took the kickoff, punched it in, and set the tone on the opening drive. If it gets out of hand, it won’t matter who has the ball after the first half.

I guess it makes sense to try to limit White’s absence.

Good point. A 5 or 6 minute drive, up front, would really eat into the impact!
