Looks like a future linebacker to me. Guys that size don't keep their DB speed very long out of high school. But a linebacker with size and speed can really put on a pass rush.

Looks like a good LB prospect. Add some muscle to him and he'd deffinanetly compete. We some LB's ASAP.

I am one to believe that a player's 40 time is not significantly important for some positions. I believe for a LB, his quickness to get from point A to point is more important. I knew guys that were quick in high school and were awesome players, I mean they were everywhere in the field, but if you put them on the track...they would get smoked. So i believe its a players quickness that is most important.

I agree. What players besides receivers and DBs on occassion run 40 yards in a straight line during a football play? Quickness and cutting ability (see Josh Reed) also play a huge role in how good a player can become.

quickness and acceleration are very important. I would even say at most positions it is more important than flat out speed.

Agreed. LB'ers lateral quickness is a priority. Saban evaluated Taylor at camp, so he obviously has some serious side to side quickness & acceleration. And honestly, a true 4.6 isn't slow.

4.6 is slow for a D Back but it is more than adequate for a linebacker
