As you may have "noticed", I'm not exactly a computer expert. I see where someone post usually a long post, then others reply. When they reply, they may have three "parts" of the post that they want to comment on. They high-light part one and then comment. Then they high-light part two and reply. Then the third time. How do you do that? How do you change the size of the print etc? Appreciate the help and knowledge. :geauxtige
use brackets to set off quotes. open up a quote with (quote=col reb)the quote goes here(/quote) then close the quote with a /quote inside the brackets. in the example above i use parentheses, but use brackets when you do it. so it look like this when i put it in the brackets: dont forget the close tag with the "/quote" in brackets. just do like it shows you when you click "quote reply".
I can tell you how I do it, but I have the equivalent of a grade school education in computer literacy: To quote seperate portions of a post, I first hit "quote reply" at the bottom of the post in question. Then, I delete all but the portion I want to initially comment on. Then go to the top of the Reply section and click on the "quote" symbol (looks like a cartoon balloon) and move my cursor to the quote box which will appear above and hit "Ctrl and V" at the same time. The quoted portion will then appear in the reply thread and you type in your response beneath it. If you want to add the "posted by portion, type
