Congress, big ballers.

Let's face it, corporations and CEO's are taking in record profits, and paying less taxes than they ever have. Meanwhile the middle class is being squeezed and can barely make a living and feed their kids all while paying obscene rates of taxes. If you make billions, you should be paying a higher percentage of taxes than someone making 80k per year.

So why do middle class workers even consider voting for the Republicans?

Race plays a factor, as does religion, and the republicans scream the loudest. They have tricked people into believing that the "freeloaders" are all poor people and corporations worked really hard to achieve the American dream.

Indeed, the middle class has much more in common with the poor than with the wealthy. The gap is upstream and the gap is huge and widening.

It is kind of strange that you would use GE as a corporate cheater and attack the Republicans at the same time. Jeffery Immelt is a huge Obama donor and was on his business counsel. He and his company have benefited from having Democrats in power.

I did not relate the two comments. They are just in the same thread.

    1. GE is a cooperate cheater.
    2. Republicans do not promote the best interests of the middle class.
Individuals are not in question, but the corporation is. Congress made the tax laws, not Obama. GE donates equally to the Republicans and Democrats to spread that influence around. LINK

Jeffery Immelt is an long-time Republican, you know. The President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board was a panel of non-governmental experts from business, labor, and academia. They were not political appointments but advise the President on possible ways to improve the nation's economy.

How specifically has GE benefitted from a democrat in the White House?

Here is what your fellow travelers think the specific benefit to GE was from having a democrat in the White House and a democrat as Secretary of State. (She and Bill have a history of good deals with China).

I have been on the road so haven't had the time to answer all of your questions.
