Especially a young gator. Slice up the ribs and fry them. Delicious!

Last year at the Florida game I did gator kabobs as well as steak and other meats. I had never done gator before (being from Texas) so I called the place we got it from and they said to treat it like pork. I marinated the meat over night and cooked them untill done on the grill. Now straight off the grill they were good! But when they sat in the pan they kind of dried out a little. Next time I will make a sauce to baste on the meat after it is cooked.

    TheDude I'm calmer than you.

In the same boat as you. I noticed mine dried out fairly quickly. I wound up throwing a lot of it in my gumbo(which didn't suck).

I obviously need a lot more experience cooking with this meat. Or maybe you guys could just call me and I will come eat your's.

    TheDude prefers the second option...
