First I am talking about PRO baseball not LSU. The point I made (though not well apparently) is that there are 2 reasons Mett couldn't play pro BB & LSU football. First was while other schools allow it LSU (and maybe the SEC) don't. I have seen stories about footballers in college also playing minor league BB.

Second point is that after investing $$ in Mett the Dodgers wouldn't let him play FB for fear of injury.

Final point is that if he gave up pro BB he could come and play FB at LSU as did Jamie Howard (hopefully with better results).

According to the article they haven't invested didley, which is why I posted it. Maybe he could say screw LA and come play football. Why not if they aren't going to pay him?
