LSU beats Arky and Georgia, but loses a close game against Alabama in the NCG.

Would we, could we have another year where we have 2 champions ?

    Alabama wins BCS
    LSU wins AP?

Yes there is a distinct likelihood that the AP would revolt against the entire BCS process and vote LSU #1 (well at least enough voters, it would only take 1/2 of them plus 1).

There will be lots of chatter leading up to the game that LSU should be crowned champions before the game commences.

Sure, we could still win the AP in that situation, with impressive wins over ARK and UGA I think it would be quite probable. But the crystal ball is most important so no good to me.

This. We all remember how hateful we were when Pete Carroll self proclaimed a national championship in '03 with the AP backing him up.

    Crystal or nothing.

There will be no stopping this team should we get to Nola. Our greatest challenge will be not slipping up on the way.

No such thing as 2 champs. Its crystal ball or bust. The AP poll means nothing.

The ap should be part of the bcs. They should get 1/5 vote, Harris 1/5, coaches1/5 and computers 2/5 vote. The computers should have more clout because of it's logical approach to strength of schedule. The polls can be biased as they usually are with favorites. The computers aren't biases by favoritism. That's how I see it.
The ap alone is useless. Crystal or bust.

I would agree with your breakdown of the voting power.

It's the happy medium between the 1/2 vs 1/2 (too much power to the computers) that it used to be to the 1/3 vs 2/3 that it is now (too much power to the voters). 40 % computers is perfect.
