1. Any y'all into craft beer, Ghost, Trillium, Tree House, Heady etc?
  2. I used to be a straight up Coors Light guy. Started dating a chic who was really into beer a few years ago. Now, I frequently go to the Chimes in Covington and try a flight of beers I have never had. Have had some good ones and some not so good ones. One thing I know is that I do not like IPA's.
  3. No worries. I post on another site where we post beers most nights just gauging what y'all drink.
  4. Beer I had a bit ago.

  5. What makes a beer "craft?". Is Sam Adams a craft beer? What
    about Abita or Shiner Bock?

  6. That's a great question. I think this link does a good job of articulating that:
    https://www.craftbeer.com/breweries/what-is-a-craft-brewery

As far as Abita, they have fallen behind quite a bit but have a wide national distribution to those who may want a more basic wheat beer like their Amber.
  7. So if you don't sell a lot of your beer it's a craft beer. I used to make beer with a Mr. Beer kit I got for Christmas one time and I'm thinking about getting back into it. Not to sell but to drink. Would I be a craft Brewer.

  8. I think that definition has a bit of cushion these days as breweries that are considered craft have a wide distribution.

I would think a lot of homebrewers would be classified as craft but if the recipe is based off of Bud, Miller I actually don't know.
  9. I buy the malt extract and add yeast and confectioners sugar. Usually tastes a bit like Heineken

  10. I will say, drink what you like!
