That Ole Miss disaster cost him his job. O points - 34 total yds. - 11 sacks

He likely would have survived another year if not for that game. Time to move on...

If Peveto and Mallory have any respect for Miles they should resign as well. Miles has had ample opportunity to throw them under the bus and has not. He has been loyal to a flaw. It was be a class act if they would both resign and spare Miles the inevitable.

Now..be honest, who didn't see the Croom debacle coming the day he was hired? It's funny that he resigns at the same time the annual "We should have more black HC's" campaign starts up.

Rumors are springing up that Fulmer has taken the job as the next Mississippi State head coach.

Look at the West now if that is true.

It'd be a step up for MSU if that were tue... and damaging for a few teams in the West.

    Lombardi couldn't win at MSU.

After announcing the resignation of Croom, Brando said that there are only 2 "African-American" coaches out of 119 school and "that is unacceptable."

So what? Arguably the two most publicized black names in college football, Croom and Willingham, were shown the door this season, which goes to show you that you hire for success not to meet a quota. White or black, you should interview someone that you believe will help your program win, not because someone skin color needs a chance.

If Fulmer does go to MSU, they'll be ridiculed for not at least interviewing a black guy, and the political correctness will continue.

The atmosphere in which this country is heading (not just college football) in regards such as this is absolutely rediculous.

The problem is that (in a lot of cases) universities just keep recycling the same coaches over and over and never open up the process to other qualified candidates. That's why they are criticized... and rightfully so.
