You cant hate DandyDon, he works really hard and always pays attention to his readers. I know that he is always optimistic, but that is what I like. If he allowed discouraging information or rumors to surface on his site, it would be the same as every other sportswriters pages. This also allows him to get the inside info from coaches b/c they trust he will be tasteful and honest. You cant hate a fan with this much passion for LSU.

You know you have a good eye for talent when the coach of a major college calls you to ask about a recruit

I read it. It was really a good article. I don't see how he finds the time to answer all those e-mails.

He's retired, if he posted here he would one of those homers with over 10,000 posts. :)

Don Long is a classy guy and one of the biggest LSU fans I have ever met.

Amen. He bleeds Purple & Gold. Although I don't follow recruiting that closely being out of state I try to read his web site a couple of times a week.

I can just imagine the conversation that goes on at those tuesday get-togethers. Hmmm,Lafayette's only a 20-min drive....

Ain't nothing wrong with being a homer, it's called "loyalty." One of the reasons I enjoy his page is that he's respectful, never mean. I really don't care if he's wrong once in a while. So am I.

Thanks for the link. Enjoyed the article.:thumb:
