I mean you use some other FCS school for that. Someone in a slightly higher, but still same ballpark price range. not a top tier FBS school that paid their previous DC nearly 10x the salary you’re currently making.

 

name a coach currently on staff that didn’t “seem like settling” at the time they were hired.

 

I'm not saying he is the correct hire, but I remember LSU fans loving Pelini before he announced his departure to Nebraska. He and Miles insisted he would be coaching in the national championship game, and he did.

 

Hearing Bo wants too much money and the interest is petering. Candidates are salavating at that salary Aranda left behind. Bo might want way more than he is worth. All speculation, of course.

That's a fair point. I just think we can do better. Anything attached to Les just seems antiquated and I'd rather not go there. Backwards is the wrong direction.

 

um, you realize most of the guys currently employed here were on Les’ staff?
Including the HC and OC.

they were DC’s at same time in SEC for 3 years.
want to know how many times Florida had a better defense than LSU? ZERO

they were both head coaches in Big XII (not at same time though)
Strong’s best record was 6-7
Bo’s worst record was 9-4
