1. We should ask CBS and/or ESPN (if they come) to bring decibel meter to the GA game. It would only add to what should be a great atmosphere. Even though it is a day game, I remember back in 86 or 87 we played Ohio St. and they had to call time out on their first posession because of the crowd noise. Since it is a day game, we could use all the help (crowd noise) we can get.
  2. I beleive there was a meter at the LSU/Auburn game in 2001. I heard the levels were greater than 110dB
  3. My ex-fiance did the decible readings at the Auburn/LSU game in 2001. The highest reading they got that night was 122db the highest recorded at Tiger Stadium before that night was around 117db.
  4. Loudness Campaign

I remember that thing, the noise meter,

They also used to have noise meter when Shaq was playing round ball and I think it malfunctioned to show low noise levels when everyone was screaming and embarrassed us so they quit using it.

I thought it was fun, (when it worked)

It was cool to hear that the our noise really affected our opponent last night.

I say start the Loudness campaign! Be prepared to bring your tonsils!
  5. "My ex-fiance did the decible readings at the Auburn/LSU game in 2001. "
