I'm going to take a bit of time and explain something to you. It's called a team dynamic. I'm taking the time because clearly you have little understand on how mental dynamics come to play on the football field and within a team environment.

Shula wasn't "handed down" decisions or made to follow some "program/company line" like you have suggested. In fact, he was given a free reign to handle the football program from a starting point of building it the way he saw fit.

Calling his a scapegoat is just wrong. When ones actions (in this case inactions) are the root cause of problems you can't say they are a scapegoat. Unless, you don't understand the definition of the word itself.

You have asserted Shula did exactly what he was told. Again. Wrong. In fact, it was suggested to him that there needed to be some changes in the staff and he refused. While that wasn't the determining factor in his dismissal, his adamant refusal to listen to a former coach who understands football goes to show he selective he was in what he paid attn. to and what he didn't.

Your comment on Ray Hudson. Wrong. Yet another example where you have pulled a name out of a hat and decided to pose a story as an example and...well, it hit the wall and didn't stick.

If you haven't noticed, and I'm sure you have but simply have chosen to ignore it, I don't put "rumors" out about Alabama. Never have, never will. The suspension was due to an altercation between two players and it was left up to the peer council to decide what punishment would be handed out. I have plenty of first hand accounts with people who witnessed what happened to know damn well what happened.

Again, you have characterized the program being soft on discipline but since the HC is the one who is responsible for that discipline it doesn't lay in Shula's lap? I know a lot of the things that happened in his reign. I know how he was selective in his discipline.

Let me give you a prime example. We had leaders, seniors, on the team last year that would blatantly violate rules set forth by Shula and he would never say a thing to them. Yet, when other players did the same thing he would jump all over them. SO, it led to course of action out of these other players that they would do the same as these supposed leaders but only do so in the presence of those guys. Why you may wonder? Because they realized if they were breaking these rules together Shula couldn't single them out.

Remember all the rivals posting "Sheila?" These same players were the ones who started that.

Fast forward to today.

Now, you have those players who were followers last year being looked at as leaders today. While they feigned buying into the system and process when they faced adversity they fell back to their true character. It's a cancer that can spread if younger players look up to them. It's also a situation where you have younger players that don't agree and want no part of that type of attitude and character, but due to the "alpha male" type syndrome you find with Sr's as compared to younger players it's something few younger players will address.

You mention in closing to put blame where it belongs. I find it ironic that you would suggest such a thing considering you have a propensity to put blame, unfounded at that, were not only it does belong but it's a situation where you haven't a thing to justify those accusations.

I can only hope that you'll continue using the BS meter .jpg under each and every post when it concerns Alabama. The needle would be buried.

You can try an label this as "stick to the wall," but you've shown nothing but an arrogant attitude toward any opinion that isn't aligned with your view of Alabama football. Your attitude reflects a "my word is credible enough" position that is correct some of the time, but slanted more often than not.

If Hall wasn't suspended for a full game, then prove it. You've been asked to do that by others on this forum, but you can't, so we'll simply have to disagree.

But regarding the Ray "weed" Husdon matter, you're dead wrong. That was out of Shula's hands entirely ..... or did you think Shula was influential enough to slide this one through the justice system? Who paid the attorney fees for Hudson?

Terry, you've been privvy to some good information here in the past. But you tend to claim that your opinion about anything Alabama should be the only one that matters. Your spin on the DJ Hall suspension was, and continues to be, one that insults the intelligence of knowledgeable SEC fans everywhere.
