We urge patients and physicians to get involved in order to preserve the good qualities of our healthcare system, address the problems, while preventing it's bureaucratic destruction . Please follow these recommendations for ACTION. ****************************************************************** http://www.donoharmpetition.org/ Quote The physician's creed: "First, do no harm" Politicians, policymakers, and public officials should take the same oath It's imperative that we let Washington know we don't want centralized political control over our health sector, but we want a system that puts patients and families at the center. Please sign this petition that warns Washington to Do No Harm to America's health care system and tell them we want American families, not politicians, to control our health care decisions ************************************************************************* Federal health centers already exist! http://findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov/ Quote: Federally-funded health centers care for you, even if you have no health insurance. You pay what you can afford, based on your income. Health centers provide 1. checkups when you're well 2. treatment when you're sick 3. complete care when you're pregnant 4. immunizations and checkups for your children 5. dental care and prescription drugs for your family 6. mental health and substance abuse care if you need it Health centers are in most cities and many rural areas. Type in your address and click the 'Find Health Centers' button to find health centers near you.
I'd like to point out that this is a good start, government is already in the current healthcare system. We don't need to radically change health care in this country. We could've taken the stimulus money that was given to bankers and others who have kept the money and used that to revamp the current system. We could have also changed the law so that you can buy insurance any where a customer chooses to do like in other aspects of our lives. That would have created competition but that isn't what this administration is about.
