Does Skyler still play?

Urban Meyer and UF were saying a key to winning would be shutting down Sky. I'm not sure of the exact number but I don't think skyler played over 10 offensive snaps. The only play he was involved in was the fake reverse when Joe fumbeled. I mean after they used him all game against Miss. st. they just use him a strickly as a return man against Vandy and UF. Don't get me wrong I was thrilled and happy as hell that Bennie got his first TD but how in the worlddo you not use Sky in 3 wr's sets and have Bennie as the 3rd guy 95% of the time.

There was some talk of him being injured.

Any official word on this. I only saw him in on 1 play in the 2nd half and a few punt returns...

I thought that maybe something was up with him (perhaps not being 100%) because there were several of those punts that he could've gotten to, but he didn't really try.

Now, maybe the coaches didn't want him to because our field position was so good without going after the ball--or maybe he had a wee bit of an injury. That's just speculation on my part.

I think you guys are putting way too much stock in this. Skyler isn't demoted or anything of the sort. It is possible for a wide receiver to not have 9 catches every game and sometimes, not nec. by design, as the game flows along, you don't realize that you hadn't called a Skyler bubble screen, or a Skyler reverse.

Just because a player does come up with his 4-8 catches in every single game, doesn't mean it's a conspiracy theory by the coaching staff to sit our so-called "game breaker" just because they want to...

skyler was indeed injured. His ankle was bothering him. He was around 75%.

If he was too injured to catch a pass seems like he would have been too injured to return punts.    If he is injured don't play him so he will be healthy for the next one, but I don't understand why he is able to do one but not the other maybe he wasn't injured when he was returning punts just when the offense was on the field.

This is just a good example of how deep we are at WR......that some people never noticed that SG didn't play much and the other guys still made big time plays. To me, Dwayne Bowe is more of our big time receiver.......he is the key.....not Skyler. JMO :)

He was only on the field for one offensive play in the 2nd half. I think that's a valid concern to have considering he is our most explosive player.

Well if Sklyer wasn't in there for returning punts that pansy punter may have actually tried to kick to the return man and gotten off a good punt. Instead, the punter would run toward the sideline and kick a low line drive kick that gave us good field position most of the time.
