    Shame on the Auburn Family...
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This post was on the basketball message board but applies to everyone on here. Here is the major highlight also--"You people blame CCE for not getting crowds, you blame CCE for this and that, yet you sit your little a**es at home, or worse go to some football scrimmage that don't mean jack."

Shame on the Auburn family! Or should I say the "Auburn football family?" What a pathetic display of Auburn support yesterday for a few seniors who have given their all to this university. I ran into Kyle Davis' Dad in the john at the game and I told him how much he meant to Auburn. He said Auburn was great and they love Auburn so much. I was embarrased as hell watching Kyle's Dad, Aunt, and little brother walk out onto the floor with about 4,000 people in the stands. That is pathletic.

Sure some of you blame Cliff for this and Cliff for that. But there is no excuse that we can't get more than a handful of people to come to the games. Let alone senior day. I'll bet 3/4 of the people on this board who bit**h about CCE weren't even at the game yesterday!

You people blame CCE for not getting crowds, you blame CCE for this and that, yet you sit your little a**es at home, or worse go to some football scrimmage that don't mean jack.

Let's face it we are a football school. So we get rid of Ellis, we hire some dupe who we think will do a better job to replace him, and in 5 years when Toney Douglas leaves on Senior Day he and his family will enter the BEMC with standing Ovation of about 2,000 people. What a joke!

You say, "Win and they will come." Ha! That is great way to sustain a basketball program. Until the Auburn nation totally commits to this program, it will be more of the same crap. Up and Down, up and down.

As long as 85,000 people can go to Auburn football Senior day game when the team is 4-6 and 5,000 go to a basketball Senior day things will NEVER change, no matter who the coach is.

    Shame on you Auburn!
  2. Sounds oddly familiar... but, the part about having seniors to honor on Senior Day sounds neat and fun - we should try that...
  3. I actually was at that game and I think 5,000 in attendance might be an over statement. It appeared there were more people at the baseball game against some scrub team. I think part of their problem might be how outdated their arena for basketball is. This definitely sounds oddly familiar, with the exception that Auburn's arena makes the PMAC look modern.
