Any actual wear and tear besides worn ujoints. Ie I can get a used one for 85 bucks or a new one for 800. It’s for a Tacoma. It’s a piece of pipe so I think it’s good to go.

What year? Why are you replacing it?

Ridiculous. When I needed a rack and pinion the repair shop quote $875 just for the part. I bought a used one online for $110 and free shipping. I got another repair shop to do the labor. Don't remember what I paid but it was lot less than the first repair shop.

Had one go on a 99 4runner. Pick a part could be $50, but even new is less that $200. Major PIA to get it in tho unless you have a lift

ETA: Ge head and replace U joints. Waste of effort not to

Super double slomo ETA: In new what I meant was I found a dude who rebuilt them along with the ujoints and shipped for right at $200... new.

    So not new, but neu

well certainly. Guess I’ll google it but I’m pretty sure there’s no wear and tear on the rest.

Did you fuck up the hanger bearing? If so that is a mess! If not then your driveshaft is probably fine. Change the U joints and get on with it
