    FYI:

Note to LSU fans who are making the trip to Auburn. It has been anounced that the eagle will be flying in the pre-game ceremony for the first time in a year or so. It's an awesome sight and one that I hope you'll enjoy.

Tiger, the golden eagle who used to fly is 26. Tiger is essentially retired. They are training a new golden eagle, Nova, to fly in the future.

On Saturday, Spirit, a bald-eagle, will be performing the pre-game flight.

    I'm interested in seeing it!

    Playful jab time.

When he passes, is Auburn going to get a new mascot? I hear the ardvark is available.

I saw it as well, about 10 years ago while I was at LSU and went to AU to catch LSU play on the road. It's impressive, just like Mike outside the visitor's locker room and all the other things that makes college football better than the pro game.

For you guys travelling to the game, it should be a treat, it's always nice to see other school's tradiations. Of course at the time, I acted like an ass in the stands and made cracks about the double mascot thing . . . but then again you learn to appreciate things as you get older. :)

Spirit flew at the first LSU home game after 9-11 it was awesome.

You don't name all your eagles 'Tiger'? I guess I'm just used to LSU always having a 'Mike the Tiger'.
