1. 52-17 didn’t happen ... I’m eating my crow now ... I got the offense right but never saw ANYONE putting 38 points on an Aranda Defense.

I DO HAVE ANSWERS FOR THE LATE FAIL IN OUR DEFENSE ... SADLY WE MUST CONDEMN AN ARROGANT LSU MEDICAL STAFF FOR FAILING TO TAKE THIS EXTREME HEAT ISSUE SERIOUSLY ENOUGH AND PUTTING OUR PLAYERS LIVES AT RISK ...

In all fairness, I did cover this point in my
10 KEYS TO AN LSU VICTORY THREAD

Yeah ... I covered the -6.5 Point spread
Yeah ... I earned another $8,000 this week
Yeah ... Kitty is up to $41,000 for vacation

But there is a hollow feeling knowing that we could have done something about this Wed to warn LSU coaching and CALL THEM OUT ... I chose another path and regret doing so now.

A 3-day SUPER HYDRATION PROCESS is required to get players ready for heat stress of this magnitude ... It’s a special diet with Pedialite drinks to deal with 100+ Heat Index for a four hour game (including warm up).

A PHYSICALLY IMPOSING LSU DEE SHUT OUT TEXAS INSIDE EIGHT A NUMBER OF TIMES THEN PHYSICALLY COLLAPSED IN THE SECOND HALF AFTER A CLEVER HERMAN PLAN TO RUN AT THEM AND CREATE LONG DRIVES TO WIPE OUT THE LSU DEFENSE AND ITS RESERVES

Kudos to that slick evil bastid for a great plan that had Delpit et al leaving for a whole quarter to get IV therapy ...

I will make these statements ...
    1. Heat like this shud never again cost LSU
    2. 10 plays* should be max limit in a single drive before platooning hydrated players
Note: Delpit et al did 19 plays one drive

It’s a crying ass shame LSU Medical isn’t up to speed with common sense heat stress safety education... Rant over!

    Geaux Tigers!

  2. I agree. Players been cramping and falling out like fat kids on a chocolate high for years now, always this time of year. On the road, at home, everywhere. How kids, most all from the south are cramping and this continues for years is baffling. Didn't see any Texas kids getting their calves stretched.

Pedialite, mandatory. How hard is that?

If you fire some poor sob they never benefit from learning and likely you repeat the same

  7. The heat related cramps were predictable. Baton rouge is 95 100% humidity. Austin is 100 and 35%. Our guys did not realize just how much fluid they were losing because the sweat evaporates so quickly. I predict the Texas guys will show similar issues in baton rouge next year. As they will be sweating like whores in church.
  8. Got another crow for you and some others to devour. On SEC Now this morning Gene Chizik said the following and I quote;

"And I don't want to skip over the fact because we keep talking about Joe Brady a great addition right? Steve Ensminger called a heck of a game and he has done a tremendous job in the last two years don't forget him he still runs the offense"

I hear crow goes well with fava beans and a good chanti

  9. I never understood any of the criticism against Ensminger, this offense has looked better since day one he took the job. Are memories that bad where we don't remember what we had before Ensminger?

  10. Yea - I was too. It was so frustrating.

Another reason our guys were cramping and theirs weren't was how long they were on the field. We had drives that were less than a minute - theirs were 3-4. minutes. Their D got more rest than ours
