  3. I was stationed 2 years in oki. The people there are very stereotypically rooted in history and culture. They were always kind to me and my cohorts except when someone acted like an ass. That said the old Okinawian women would always cross the street to stay away from us. That dated to ww2.

  6. Yes, but you also said morality is intrinsic. If that's the case, it would be in their very nature to not be terrible. Intrinsic qualities are all about the survival instinct. Morality has to be learned, because the concept of placing someone else's rights or needs above your own contradicts the survival instinct.

    to the extent that morality is learned behavior, it is better if it is learned as a secular and rational value, that doesnt hinge on belief in magical sky gods or bronze age mythology, else when people rejected god they would go on murder sprees.
