1. This could be debated, but USC will always be up there. Y'know cause they're USC. The loss to Stanford will always be the 2nd best news I heard/saw that day.
  2. Sorry to say it, but USC has pretty much been consistently ranked in the top 5 every season. LSU has far from dominated. Sure, we won two national titles, but look what happened in the seasons right after winning a title. That doesn't really help our case.
  3. Are you sure it wasn't broken down by gender:

    UConn womens basketball
    -and-
    USC football

    UNC mens basketball
    -and-
    Florida Football

Considering the lack of competition in the Pac-1, this seems to make more sense. :hihi:
  4. Nice consolation prize for USC. LSU and UF will take :crystal::crystal::crystal::crystal: of these.
  5. I'll take two national titles over an ESPN poll.
  6. Ranking, schmankings. It's no secret that their lofty win total has been the byproduct of a weak conference. It'd be like putting OU football up there because they've been to like 27 BCS bowls this decade, and oh yeah, 4 title games. Truth be told, they've probably had the highest week-to-week average ranking over the entire decade, and they've got the same number of titles as USC this decade. And Ohio St. has been to 3 title games this decade, whereas SC has only been to 2. Titles are everything.
It makes no sense to put UF up there and not LSU. We lost one more game following our title year than they did.
  7. And we won our bowl.
  8. ESPN is da debil.:hihi:
  9. Well we all know that LSU could be ranked #1 for 10 yrs in football, baseball, mens and womens basketball, track, swimming, gymnasyics, golf, softball, etc; and the only ESPN poll we would ever be mentioned in would be "will LSU make it to a bowl this year?". You know that conspiracy theory everyone is always talking about. The one that ESPN hates us.
