So on their website on the video links, it has a little video "Tennessee ready for LSU," So I thought it would be pretty cool and would be a mini-preview of the game. WRONG... It is a 3 min slob-fest of Pat Summitt talking about how tough Candace Parker is, etc... No mention of LSU at all in the entire vid. 5 straight Final Fours is way more impressive than some chick playing hurt. That happens all of the time. Makes me wanna puke.
Now, now, clair, 7 National Championships, 13 Conference Tournament Championships, and 14 Conference Regular Season Championships takes precedence. :wink: Let 'em do, I like flying under the radar as much as possible.
when they can find a way to win 7 national titles in 1 season, then that is relevant. Until then, I don't give a crap what they've done. UCLA is the most prestigious of all the Final Four teams by a pretty large margin on the men's side. I don't see them monopolizing the media coverage.
I can tell you that Candace winning National Player of the Year today made Sylvia some kinda upset. And rightfully so. Sylvia won SEC Player of the Year, which is voted on by the SEC Coaches (aka her peers). I would think they would know better than some jackass like Trey Wingo or Stuart Scott who just like Candace Parker because they never watch LSU play.
that wasn't my point. My point was that this team, virtually this whole roster has achieved LSU's goal. I don't see Holdslaw and all the other Tennessee players on this roster. All this team has is one of those National Titles and 1-2 of those SEC Championships. If you take away last year, Tennessee was very quickly becoming the Cowboys in that they hadn't won it in some almost 10 years. UConn is the new powerhouse in WBB.

Championsips ’04, ’05, ‘07 National Champions ‘07 SEC Reg. Season Champions ’04, ’05, ‘07 SEC Tourn. Championsips Final Four Appearances ’03, ’04, ’05, ’06, ’07, Pat Summit is a living legend. Sorry to hear that but our fans are about team accomplishments, not individual ones- wouldn't that be the equivalent of the Heisman?
