Wow. That is a little harsh. It's not like we got our butts handed to us at home by an unranked team (i.e. Michigan).

Had USC lost to BYU last night, I guarantee you that they would have punished them severely and dropped them all the way to #3.

LSU will be within the top 10 once they beat Georgia

At most, that drop is only 9 spots. Mich got dropped 10, FL st didn't drop that much because they got beat by a team ranked higher than themselves (in the top 5). I think dropping us between 11 and 15 is completely fair. We do have two games in the next 4 weeks against top 15 teams, which will vault us right back into the thick of the top 5 if we can win those games.

Should LSU be ranked in front of unbeaten teams right now, staying within the top 10. 13 seems fair to me, I don't see anything to complain about.

After beating GA and FL, LSU will be positioned in the top 5 again and poised to make their NC run again. Watching one team after the other lose late in the season.

We got our one loss out of the way early. The master plan has been laid.

I think that is a fair ranking. I think it would be great if this year we were the beneficiaries of the lose first mentality of the voters...although we need some vast improvement in many areas if we are seriously going to contend.

Good point, and have a few months of games to get better. As far as voting is concerned, I think we are in good shape. We have two major games to prove ourselves, we win those and promise we will be back in the top 6. I also feel if OK or SC loses a game, they will drop at least 8 to 12 spots (Depending on the team they lose to). It's a crap shoot right now, we have no idea which teams will step up or suffer losses . . . all we can do is take care our own schedule, and try to win the SEC West. The rest will take care of itself as the season plays on.

LSU just needs to stay focused.
