I remember ESPN had our game against Ole Miss last year and he did a segment before the game about how great it was to come back to the campus and be able to call one of their games.

He said he was an Ole Miss fan before, and after the game, but that he would do his best to call the game even.

I think he did a pretty good job of, some people said that he was very obviously cheering for Ole Miss, but I think most announcers like for the underdog to keep it close to keep viewers, so I don't think it was his Ole Miss bias.

Franklin was a sports anchor for years in Houston before moving on to radio calls of Texas football. From UT he went to ESPN. He did voice overs for Joe Dean productions in the 80's and 90's. I think he's pro-LSU and pro-SEC.
